Mathsci-comm: Our Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating an open, inclusive and safe environment where all members of the network, and people attending virtual and in person events, feel welcome and able to participate. Everyone involved in the mathsci-comm network and its activities are expected to follow the code of conduct:
- Treat everyone with respect, use welcoming and inclusive language, tolerate and listen to each other’s views.
- The network is primarily intended to facilitate discussions between members of the network. Please don’t share information or content that someone else has shared without their prior permission, unless they have specifically stated that you are free to do so.
We will not accept:
- Abusive, insulting or degrading, threatening, bullying, intimidatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate behaviour (including speech and/or text and/or imagery);
- Harassment;
- Discrimination of any kind i.e. offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, and religion;
- Display of inappropriate content;
- Sexual language and imagery;
- Sustained disruption of discussions, talks or events.
If you have any concerns that you think the code of conduct is not being followed please alert the organisers by email (plus@maths.cam.ac.uk), any reports will be dealt with discreetly.
Involvement in the Mathsci-comm network is at the discretion of the organisers.
