September 2026 online meeting - Mathsci-Comm Member Survey discussion
Please note that the September meeting has had to be postponed due to ill health. It will now take place on the 7th October.
This meeting will take the form of a panel and group discussion responding to the 2026 survey of Mathsci-Comm members. Please note the information below from Rachel who will be convening the meeting.
In the first part of the meeting I will present the initial analysis of the data we collected from you at the in-person workshop in January and the follow up survey in July. This will include an update of what the network looks like as well as my initial research into the work our community does. As usual we will record that part of the meeting so that people can catch up if they are not able to attend.
Then we’ll stop recording for a Q&A session about the research.
And then the final part of the meeting will be a group discussion that I’d like to feed back into my PhD research (jointly supervised by Hannah Fry and Alan Blackwell). This final section of the meeting will not be recorded but notes will be taken of the discussion to integrate into future research. Participating in this part of the meeting is entirely optional. If you do participate you give your consent for your contributions to be used anonymously in our research project for the purposes described above. Raw data will only be accessible to the researchers, with only summary or synthesised analysis being reported publicly. Please otherwise do not participate in the final part of the meeting.
To join this event you need to join the Network.
